LA、San Diego付近の山林火災は悲惨な事態となっているようだ。CNN.comの記事からもその悲惨さがよく伝わってくる。

CNNTVの生中継でもやっていたが、それはそれは豪華なプールがあって、そこからは麓の街が一望できるような高級住宅が丸焦げになっていた。号泣する家族。自然の前に正に人間は無力である・・・。
UCSDに勤める友人にメールしたところ、まだ火は遠いがすごい大気汚染らしい。昨日も今日も大学は休校だとか。
なんだか知らないが昨日の夜ものすごく喉が痛くなった。近年にない痛さだったので薬飲んで就寝。昼過ぎにはなぜか治ってしまった。
